Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A/B commercial vehicles for local and regional deliveries
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain compliance logs
- Load/unload cargo using proper handling techniques and equipment
- Navigate Virginia Beach and surrounding areas efficiently using GPS systems
- Adhere to FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Communicate delivery status and delays to dispatch in real-time
- Maintain clean driving record and vehicle appearance
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Virginia Beach roadways and delivery zones
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
- Strong communication and customer service skills
