Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class B CDL) for local deliveries within Greater Boston
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation in compliance with DOT regulations
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and report vehicle maintenance needs
- Provide excellent customer service during delivery interactions
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and time-sensitive routes
- Secure cargo properly and ensure safe handling of all materials
- Collaborate with dispatch team for route optimization and communication
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and perform physical loading/unloading
- Strong knowledge of Boston area roads and traffic patterns
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Professional communication and customer service aptitude
