Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport goods within Maryland and surrounding states
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere to DOT regulations, HOS compliance, and company safety protocols
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route planning and delivery timelines
- Handle loading/unloading operations with proper equipment handling techniques
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Document delivery status and resolve minor route discrepancies
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year verifiable commercial driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Knowledge of Baltimore metro area and regional highways
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility to work weekends and early morning shifts
- Must pass background check and MVR verification
