Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks on local and regional delivery routes within the Denver metro area.
- Load and secure cargo using appropriate straps, chains, and bars to ensure zero damage.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours (HOS) and delivery documentation.
- Interact professionally with customers and warehouse personnel during loading and unloading.
- Adhere strictly to all DOT regulations, company policies, and traffic laws.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road conditions, and safety regulations.
- Basic mechanical skills to perform minor vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including early mornings and late afternoons.
