Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver packages to residential and commercial locations in Durham and surrounding areas.
- Obtain proper signatures and ensure delivery accuracy.
- Inspect the delivery vehicle before and after each shift for cleanliness and mechanical issues.
- Update delivery status and communicate delays to dispatch immediately.
- Maintain a professional appearance and positive demeanor when interacting with customers.
- Follow all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Driver’s License with a clean driving record (no more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Ability to lift, carry, and push packages weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
- Strong navigation skills and proficiency with smartphones/tablets for route management.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to solve problems on the spot.
- Must be at least 21 years of age to operate commercial vehicles.
- Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and varying shift lengths.
