Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers for overnight deliveries across Illinois and Midwest states
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and safety protocols during all transit hours
- Perform pre-trip inspections, basic maintenance checks, and accurate logging via ELD systems
- Coordinate with dispatchers for efficient route planning and on-time deliveries
- Maintain precise delivery documentation and customer communication standards
- Secure cargo and handle specialized freight requirements (temperature-controlled, hazardous materials)
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Night shift availability and familiarity with overnight driving conditions
- Knowledge of Chicago metro area routes and regional highway systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical loading/unloading duties
- Pass background check and drug screening (FMCSA-compliant)
