Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) during overnight hours (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Transport goods between NYC warehouses, distribution centers, and retail locations
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate delivery documentation
- Adapt to traffic patterns and construction zones unique to metropolitan driving
- Collaborate with dispatch teams to optimize route efficiency
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Communicate delivery status and handle exceptions proactively
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Familiarity with NYC boroughs and surrounding areas
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Pass federal background check and drug screening
