Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 commercial vehicles for local/regional night routes
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, HOS compliance, and pre/post-trip inspections
- Load/unload freight with precision using pallet jacks and forklifts
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and electronic logs
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and warehouse teams
- Implement defensive driving techniques in low-visibility conditions
- Manage time-sensitive deliveries with zero-tolerance for delays
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean 3-year driving record
- Minimum 2 years OTR or regional trucking experience
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs regularly and operate warehouse equipment
- Pass TSA background check and drug screening
- Familiarity with Texas highway systems and urban navigation
- Strong work ethic and punctuality for night shift reliability
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting knowledge
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
