Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles (vans/box trucks) during overnight hours (11 PM - 7 AM)
- Execute multi-stop routes using GPS navigation while maintaining delivery windows
- Load/unload packages up to 50 lbs with proper lifting techniques
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and obtain electronic signatures
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid California driver's license with clean MVR (no major violations in 3 years)
- 1+ year professional driving experience (delivery preferred)
- Ability to navigate Oakland/Bay Area streets efficiently
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
- Physical ability to handle packages in various weather conditions
- Basic smartphone proficiency for delivery apps
- Flexible availability for rotating weekend shifts
- Pass background check and drug screening
