Responsibilities
- Deliver packages safely and efficiently across Long Beach during night hours
- Optimize routes using GPS technology to meet delivery deadlines
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and obtain customer signatures
- Perform pre-trip inspections and report vehicle maintenance needs
- Communicate proactively with dispatch about delivery statuses
- Handle customer inquiries with professionalism and patience
- Ensure all packages are secured and protected during transit
Qualifications
- Valid California driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Strong knowledge of Long Beach streets and neighborhoods
- Excellent time management and route optimization skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Basic smartphone proficiency for delivery apps
- Reliable transportation to and from depot
