Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport packages and goods throughout Jacksonville metropolitan area
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation using GPS tracking systems
- Verify delivery details and obtain proper signatures from recipients
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety protocols during night operations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team regarding route challenges or delays
- Assist with loading/unloading shipments at distribution centers
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (Class B or higher) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience in commercial vehicles
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly during shift
- Proficiency with smartphone navigation apps and basic GPS technology
- Strong time management skills with ability to meet strict delivery deadlines
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts (typically 10 PM - 6 AM)
- Pass background check and pre-employment drug screening
- Knowledge of Jacksonville area roadways and traffic patterns
