Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles on dedicated overnight routes
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain electronic logs
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and DOT regulations
- Collaborate with dispatch team for real-time route adjustments
- Handle freight loading/unloading procedures with precision
- Implement defensive driving techniques in all weather conditions
- Communicate professionally with customers and warehouse staff
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with Hazmat endorsement preferred
- Minimum 2 years verifiable OTR experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Flexible availability for 10-12 hour overnight shifts
- Strong knowledge of Virginia/DC/Maryland road networks
