Responsibilities
- Transport medical specimens, blood products, pharmaceuticals, and lab equipment between healthcare facilities
- Maintain strict temperature control for time-sensitive medical deliveries
- Complete accurate documentation and electronic tracking for all shipments
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance protocols and patient confidentiality standards
- Coordinate with hospital staff, labs, and clinics for efficient pickup/delivery scheduling
- Perform vehicle safety checks and maintain clean, organized transport equipment
- Respond proactively to delivery exceptions and route adjustments
Qualifications
- Valid Hawaii driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year experience in medical transport or logistics
- OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens certification preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and navigate stairs/elevators
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Proficient with GPS navigation and mobile technology
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of medical specimen handling protocols
