Responsibilities
- Transport medical specimens, blood products, and critical supplies between healthcare facilities with strict adherence to temperature control protocols
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic tracking systems for all shipments
- Verify patient information and specimen integrity at pickup and drop-off points
- Coordinate with medical staff and dispatchers to ensure timely, secure deliveries
- Perform vehicle safety inspections and maintain clean, organized transport equipment
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and biohazard handling procedures
- Communicate delivery status updates and resolve routing challenges proactively
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean record and reliable insured vehicle
- High school diploma or equivalent; healthcare or logistics experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and navigate healthcare facility environments
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to HIPAA compliance
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
