Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, lab results, and equipment to designated healthcare facilities
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each transport
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance, biohazard safety protocols, and chain-of-custody procedures
- Communicate proactively with dispatch teams and receiving facilities regarding delivery status
- Perform vehicle safety checks and maintain clean, organized transport equipment
- Manage time-sensitive deliveries efficiently across Miami's urban corridors
- Assist with inventory management of medical supplies at client locations
Qualifications
- Valid Florida driver's license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and maneuver equipment in tight spaces
- Knowledge of Miami-Dade County roadways and traffic patterns
- Basic understanding of medical specimen handling and biohazard safety
- Strong time management with punctuality for critical delivery windows
- Reliable smartphone for communication and GPS navigation
- Pass background check and drug screening (required for healthcare access)
- Previous courier or logistics experience preferred but not required
