Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, lab samples, and critical healthcare materials between facilities
- Maintain precise temperature control for temperature-sensitive shipments
- Adhere to strict HIPAA compliance protocols for patient data protection
- Document delivery status and maintain accurate chain-of-custody records
- Optimize routes to ensure timely pickups and deliveries across Laredo and surrounding areas
- Perform vehicle safety inspections and maintain clean, organized transport vehicles
- Communicate proactively with healthcare facilities regarding shipment status
- Respond to urgent delivery requests with flexibility and professionalism
Qualifications
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year experience in medical courier or healthcare logistics
- Certification in medical transport safety (preferred, not required)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and push/pull wheeled containers
- Proficiency with GPS navigation and delivery tracking systems
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to HIPAA compliance
- Flexible schedule availability including early mornings and weekends
- Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish (bilingual preferred)
