Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, lab samples, and sensitive healthcare materials between facilities
- Maintain strict temperature control and chain-of-custody protocols for all medical shipments
- Utilize GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery routes and ensure timely arrivals
- Complete detailed delivery documentation and maintain HIPAA compliance at all times
- Perform vehicle safety checks and maintain cleanliness of courier equipment
- Provide exceptional customer service to hospital staff and medical facility personnel
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety procedures during transit
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record (minimum 2 years)
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications a plus
- Experience in healthcare logistics, medical transport, or delivery services preferred
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet strict delivery deadlines
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and secure handling protocols
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate in various weather conditions
