Responsibilities
- Securely transport medical specimens, lab samples, pharmaceuticals, and equipment between facilities
- Maintain strict temperature control for sensitive materials using specialized containers
- Complete accurate documentation and chain-of-custody forms for each delivery
- Coordinate with hospital staff, clinics, and laboratories for timely pickups/drop-offs
- Follow HIPAA compliance protocols and maintain patient confidentiality
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report mechanical issues
- Optimize routes to ensure on-time deliveries while adhering to traffic regulations
Qualifications
- Valid California driver's license with clean driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent; medical/transportation experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate temperature-controlled equipment
- Strong time management with attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic knowledge of medical packaging and specimen handling protocols
- Proficiency with GPS navigation and mobile communication devices
- Reliable transportation to/from Anaheim depot (company vehicle provided)
