Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, blood products, and pharmaceuticals using temperature-controlled packaging
- Maintain strict chain-of-custody documentation and HIPAA compliance protocols
- Coordinate with hospital staff, labs, and pharmacies for timely pickups/deliveries
- Perform vehicle inspections and routine maintenance checks
- Utilize GPS navigation to optimize routes and ensure on-time arrivals
- Communicate delivery status updates to dispatch and receiving facilities
- Adhere to OSHA safety standards and emergency protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Louisiana driver's license with clean driving record
- 1+ years experience in medical/pharmaceutical logistics preferred
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate temperature-controlled equipment
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and specimen handling
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Exceptional time management and problem-solving abilities
- Background check and drug screen required
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends/holidays
