Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, pharmaceuticals, and lab samples between hospitals, clinics, and laboratories
- Maintain strict temperature control requirements for sensitive materials
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance protocols and maintain patient confidentiality
- Accurately document delivery information and maintain electronic logs
- Optimize delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals and fuel efficiency
- Communicate professionally with healthcare staff and resolve delivery issues
- Perform vehicle pre/post-trip inspections and maintain cleanliness
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent; medical/transport experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Basic knowledge of medical packaging and temperature control
- Proficiency with GPS navigation and mobile technology
