Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, blood products, and pharmaceuticals via temperature-controlled vehicles
- Maintain strict chain-of-custody protocols and HIPAA compliance during all transfers
- Coordinate with hospitals, labs, and clinics for efficient pickup/delivery scheduling
- Document all transactions using electronic tracking systems and maintain accurate logs
- Perform vehicle safety inspections and maintain clean, sanitized transport equipment
- Respond to urgent delivery requests with urgency and professionalism
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- High school diploma or equivalent; medical transport experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50 lbs unassisted and navigate hospital environments
- Basic knowledge of biohazard handling and medical waste disposal
- Strong time management skills with ability to manage multiple routes daily
- Pass background check and pre-employment drug screening
