Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, pharmaceuticals, and sensitive equipment across LA County
- Maintain strict temperature control for temperature-sensitive shipments
- Complete accurate delivery documentation and maintain chain-of-custody records
- Coordinate with healthcare facilities to ensure on-time deliveries
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and biohazard safety protocols
- Utilize GPS navigation for efficient route planning
- Perform vehicle pre-trip inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Communicate delivery status updates to dispatch and recipients
Qualifications
- Valid California driver's license with clean driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
- Experience with medical specimen handling preferred
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Proficiency using mobile tracking apps and delivery software
- Background check and drug screening clearance required
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
