Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, lab results, and sensitive healthcare materials between hospitals, clinics, and laboratories
- Maintain strict temperature control for time-sensitive biological samples using specialized equipment
- Document all deliveries using electronic tracking systems and maintain detailed chain-of-custody records
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times
- Perform vehicle inspections and basic maintenance to ensure operational readiness
- Communicate delivery status and exceptions to dispatch and healthcare facility coordinators
- Coordinate with healthcare staff for efficient loading/unloading procedures
Qualifications
- Valid Tennessee driver's license with clean driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent; healthcare logistics certification preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate temperature-controlled transport units
- Strong time management skills with ability to meet strict delivery deadlines
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and specimen handling protocols
- Proficient in electronic tracking systems and mobile data entry
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Willingness to pass background check and drug screening
