Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, pharmaceuticals, and lab supplies between hospitals, clinics, and laboratories
- Maintain strict temperature control for sensitive materials using specialized equipment
- Verify documentation and maintain accurate delivery logs following HIPAA compliance standards
- Optimize routes using GPS technology to ensure timely deliveries across Baton Rouge metro area
- Provide exceptional customer service to healthcare professionals and patients
- Perform vehicle safety checks and maintenance protocols
- Coordinate with dispatch team for real-time route adjustments and priority pickups
Qualifications
- Valid Louisiana driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year experience in medical logistics or courier services
- Certification in biohazardous materials handling (preferred)
- Proficient with GPS navigation and mobile tracking systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
