Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, pharmaceuticals, and equipment using temperature-controlled vehicles
- Maintain precise delivery schedules with GPS tracking and real-time route optimization
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and biohazard protocols for all medical materials
- Complete accurate documentation and chain-of-custody forms for each shipment
- Provide exceptional customer service to healthcare facilities and patients
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance inspections and safety checks
- Collaborate with dispatch team to resolve delivery challenges proactively
Qualifications
- Valid Maryland driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience or medical transport background
- OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens certification preferred
- Proficient in using GPS navigation and mobile tracking systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional logistics training a plus
