Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, organs, blood products, and critical supplies using company vehicles
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and chain-of-custody documentation for all shipments
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS technology to ensure timely arrivals
- Perform vehicle safety checks and maintain cleanliness of transport units
- Communicate professionally with healthcare facilities and clients regarding delivery status
- Adhere to biohazard handling protocols and emergency response procedures
- Track and report delivery metrics using our remote fleet management system
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; medical courier or logistics experience preferred
- Valid Louisiana driver's license with clean driving record (MVR required)
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and DOT physical examination
- Proficiency with smartphone navigation apps and basic fleet tracking systems
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols
- Flexibility to work variable shifts including early mornings, nights, and weekends
- Basic knowledge of medical packaging and temperature-controlled transport
- Reliable transportation to/from depot location (remote-friendly scheduling)
