Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, blood products, pharmaceuticals, and organs in temperature-controlled containers
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and chain-of-custody protocols for all sensitive materials
- Optimize daily routes using GPS navigation to ensure timely deliveries across Philadelphia and surrounding areas
- Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and maintain meticulous documentation of deliveries
- Provide exceptional customer service to healthcare facilities with real-time tracking updates
- Adhere to biohazard safety procedures during handling of potentially infectious materials
- Collaborate with dispatch team to resolve delivery challenges and prioritize urgent requests
Qualifications
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience or medical transport background
- OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens certification or willingness to obtain
- Proficiency with GPS navigation and mobile tracking systems
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
