Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, lab samples, and pharmaceuticals using temperature-controlled vehicles
- Maintain detailed delivery logs and electronic tracking systems in real-time
- Verify recipient information and obtain proper signatures for all deliveries
- Adhere to strict HIPAA protocols and biohazard handling procedures
- Coordinate with healthcare facilities to optimize delivery schedules
- Perform vehicle maintenance checks and ensure cleanliness of transport units
- Respond proactively to delivery exceptions and route adjustments
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record (3+ years)
- Experience with medical/pharmaceutical transport or healthcare logistics preferred
- Proficient in using GPS navigation and electronic tracking systems
- Ability to lift packages up to 50 lbs regularly
- Strong attention to detail and time-management skills
- Flexibility to work variable shifts including early mornings and weekends
