Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, pharmaceuticals, and lab materials between healthcare facilities
- Maintain strict temperature control protocols for time-sensitive shipments
- Complete detailed delivery documentation and maintain accurate logs
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance standards for patient data protection
- Perform vehicle safety inspections and maintenance checks
- Coordinate with healthcare staff for urgent pickups and deliveries
- Utilize GPS routing systems for efficient multi-stop deliveries
- Respond promptly to delivery schedule changes and urgent requests
Qualifications
- Valid North Carolina driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year experience in medical logistics or courier services
- OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Proficiency in temperature monitoring and cold chain management
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and navigate tight spaces
- Exceptional time management and route optimization skills
- Strong attention to detail and HIPAA compliance awareness
- Ability to work independently while maintaining clear communication
