Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, organs, and sensitive materials between hospitals, labs, and clinics
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation with strict attention to detail
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance protocols for handling confidential medical information
- Optimize routes using GPS technology to ensure timely deliveries
- Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Communicate delivery status and exceptions to dispatch and clients in real-time
- Operate specialized medical transport equipment under temperature control requirements
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- High school diploma or equivalent; medical transport certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years experience in medical courier or healthcare logistics
- Ability to lift packages up to 50 pounds and maneuver in tight spaces
- Proficiency with GPS navigation and mobile communication devices
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple time-sensitive deliveries
