Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, blood products, and pharmaceuticals using temperature-controlled vehicles
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance protocols for all patient materials during transit
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS technology to maintain strict time-sensitive schedules
- Complete meticulous documentation including manifests, chain-of-custody forms, and delivery confirmations
- Perform vehicle inspections and maintenance to ensure biohazard safety standards
- Provide real-time tracking updates to healthcare facility dispatch centers
- Handle emergency delivery requests with urgency and precision
- Maintain sterile protocols for organ and tissue transport deliveries
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years experience in medical logistics or healthcare transport
- Valid Oregon driver's license with clean MVR record
- Certification in biohazard handling or medical transportation preferred
- Proficiency with temperature monitoring systems and cold chain protocols
- Ability to lift 50 lbs unassisted and navigate medical facility layouts
- Exceptional time management with zero tolerance for delivery delays
- Strong knowledge of Portland metro area traffic patterns and alternate routes
- Background check and drug screening clearance required
