Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, blood products, and pharmaceuticals via temperature-controlled vehicles
- Maintain detailed chain-of-custody documentation and electronic tracking systems
- Adhere to strict HIPAA compliance protocols for patient data handling
- Perform vehicle safety inspections and routine maintenance checks
- Coordinate with healthcare facilities for efficient pickup/delivery schedules
- Manage emergency STAT deliveries with time-sensitive urgency
- Utilize GPS navigation to optimize routes and ensure timely arrivals
Qualifications
- Valid California driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year experience in medical/pharmaceutical logistics
- OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens certification preferred
- Proficient in using electronic tracking and documentation systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate temperature-controlled equipment
- Strong attention to detail with excellent time-management skills
- Pass background check and pre-employment drug screening
