Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, blood products, and pharmaceuticals using temperature-controlled containers
- Maintain strict chain-of-custody documentation and HIPAA compliance protocols
- Coordinate with hospitals, labs, and clinics for efficient pickup/delivery schedules
- Perform vehicle inspections and routine maintenance to ensure operational readiness
- Utilize GPS navigation systems for optimal routing and timely deliveries
- Communicate delivery status updates to dispatch and receiving facilities
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and safe driving practices
Qualifications
- Valid California driver's license with clean driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent; medical transportation experience preferred
- Proficiency in electronic logging systems and mobile technology
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and navigate various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and time-management skills
- Basic knowledge of medical specimen handling protocols
- Pass background check and drug screening
