Responsibilities
- Transport medical specimens, lab samples, pharmaceuticals, and equipment between hospitals, clinics, and labs
- Maintain strict temperature control for sensitive materials using specialized equipment
- Complete proper documentation and chain-of-custody procedures for all shipments
- Coordinate with medical facilities for efficient pickup/delivery schedules
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and safety protocols during all transport activities
- Perform vehicle maintenance checks and ensure cleanliness of transport units
Qualifications
- Valid Hawaii driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year medical courier or specimen transport experience
- OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens certification required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely
- Strong time management and navigation skills across Oahu
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Flexibility to work evenings/weekends as needed
