Responsibilities
- Transport medical specimens, pharmaceuticals, and equipment between hospitals, labs, and clinics
- Maintain strict temperature control for sensitive materials using specialized equipment
- Follow HIPAA compliance protocols for handling patient information
- Utilize GPS navigation for efficient route planning and timely deliveries
- Complete detailed documentation and electronic tracking for each shipment
- Perform vehicle safety inspections and maintain clean transport vehicles
- Communicate proactively with healthcare providers regarding delivery status
Qualifications
- Valid Louisiana driver's license with clean driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent; medical background preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Basic knowledge of medical transport regulations (DOT, OSHA)
- Proficiency with mobile technology and delivery tracking systems
