Responsibilities
- Securely transport medical specimens, pharmaceuticals, and lab equipment between hospitals, clinics, and labs
- Maintain strict temperature control for temperature-sensitive shipments using specialized equipment
- Accurately document chain-of-custody procedures and handle sensitive medical documentation
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS technology to ensure timely pickups and drop-offs
- Conduct vehicle inspections and maintain cleanliness of transport equipment
- Provide exceptional customer service to healthcare staff and maintain professional communication
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance standards and all medical transport regulations
Qualifications
- Valid California driver's license with clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years)
- High school diploma or equivalent; medical transport certification preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex protocols
- Proficiency with mobile technology and route optimization apps
- Experience in medical logistics or healthcare supply chain preferred
- Background check and drug screening required
- Ability to work flexible shifts including early mornings and weekends
