Responsibilities
- Securely transport medical specimens, organs, blood products, and pharmaceuticals between hospitals, labs, and clinics
- Maintain strict temperature control for sensitive materials using specialized equipment
- Complete accurate documentation and electronic tracking for all shipments
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance protocols and biohazard safety standards
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure timely deliveries
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance and safety inspections
- Manage inventory of medical supplies and packaging materials
Qualifications
- Valid Alaska driver's license with clean driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- 1+ years of medical courier or healthcare logistics experience
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in extreme weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Proficiency with electronic tracking systems and mobile technology
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
