Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, pharmaceuticals, and equipment between hospitals, labs, and clinics
- Maintain strict temperature control for sensitive materials using specialized containers
- Document all shipments with electronic tracking systems and maintain accurate delivery logs
- Provide exceptional customer service to healthcare professionals and patients
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance protocols and biohazard handling procedures
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
- Collaborate with dispatch team to optimize delivery routes and timelines
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record (minimum 3 years)
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Experience with medical specimen transport or healthcare logistics preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout shift
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency with mobile technology and GPS navigation
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
