Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, blood products, and pharmaceuticals using temperature-controlled containers
- Maintain precise delivery schedules while adhering to HIPAA compliance protocols
- Complete electronic documentation and chain-of-custody forms for all shipments
- Coordinate with healthcare facilities, labs, and pharmacies for seamless handoffs
- Perform vehicle safety inspections and routine maintenance checks
- Utilize GPS tracking systems to optimize routes and ensure on-time deliveries
- Respond to urgent delivery requests with professionalism and urgency
Qualifications
- Valid North Carolina driver's license with clean driving record (3+ years)
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Experience in medical/pharmaceutical logistics or healthcare transportation
- Proficiency with electronic documentation systems and mobile apps
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail with exceptional time management skills
- Understanding of biohazard handling procedures and OSHA standards
- Reliable transportation to Raleigh distribution center (3 days/week)
