Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, lab results, and sensitive materials between healthcare facilities
- Maintain strict chain of custody documentation and HIPAA compliance
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS technology to ensure timely pickups/dropoffs
- Verify recipient information and handle temperature-sensitive materials properly
- Perform vehicle safety checks and maintain clean, organized transport units
- Resolve delivery issues proactively with exceptional client communication
- Complete daily electronic manifests and incident reports
Qualifications
- Valid California driver's license with clean MVR (3+ years)
- High school diploma or equivalent; medical courier certification preferred
- Experience handling biohazardous materials and HIPAA protocols
- Proficient with mobile devices and route-optimization apps
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and navigate healthcare facility layouts
- Strong attention to detail and time-management skills
- Pass background check and pre-employment drug screening
