Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, blood products, and pharmaceutical supplies to/from hospitals, labs, and clinics
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and temperature-controlled documentation
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance protocols for patient data protection
- Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Coordinate with healthcare staff for time-sensitive pickups and deliveries
- Utilize GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning
- Communicate delivery status updates to dispatch and recipients
Qualifications
- Valid Michigan driver's license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
- Basic computer literacy for documentation systems
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Willingness to work flexible hours including early mornings, nights, and weekends
- Reliable transportation to/from Detroit distribution center
