Responsibilities
- Collect and transport medical specimens, lab samples, and documents from medical facilities to processing centers.
- Adhere to strict HIPAA compliance standards and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and ensure the courier vehicle remains clean and well-maintained.
- Ensure timely delivery of packages to meet strict healthcare timelines and laboratory deadlines.
- Handle delicate medical supplies with care, ensuring they are not compromised during transit.
- Complete accurate delivery logs and paperwork using handheld devices.
- Provide exceptional customer service to medical staff and patients upon delivery.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record (no DUIs or major violations).
- Ability to lift packages weighing up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to use handheld scanners.
- Prior experience in healthcare logistics, medical delivery, or courier services is highly preferred.
- Must be available for morning shifts and adhere to a strict punctuality schedule.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
