Responsibilities
- Transport medical specimens, vaccines, and confidential documents to and from hospitals, clinics, and laboratories in a safe and timely manner.
- Maintain strict adherence to all local, state, and federal driving regulations and traffic laws.
- Ensure the secure handling of biohazardous materials and pharmaceuticals in compliance with safety protocols.
- Update delivery status in the company tracking system immediately upon completion of routes.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance to ensure operational readiness.
- Adhere to strict patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance standards.
- Communicate professionally with medical staff and clients at drop-off locations.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Driver’s License with a clean driving record (no DUIs or major violations within the last 3 years).
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Basic computer literacy for logging deliveries and accessing GPS navigation systems.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Professional appearance and demeanor suitable for healthcare environments.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings and weekends as required.
