Responsibilities
- Pick up and transport medical specimens, lab samples, and sensitive documents to designated laboratories and medical facilities within strict time windows.
- Verify patient information and ensure all delivery paperwork is accurate, signed, and properly filed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized vehicle at all times to comply with health department regulations.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, safety protocols, and company policies while driving.
- Handle packages with extreme care to ensure the integrity and safety of medical specimens.
- Communicate effectively with medical staff and dispatch to provide real-time updates on delivery status.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure road safety.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record (no DUIs or major violations).
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
- Reliable smartphone with data access for GPS navigation and route management.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Professional demeanor and excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently in various weather conditions.
