Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, lab samples, and pharmaceuticals between hospitals, clinics, labs, and distribution centers
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation using electronic tracking systems
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and biohazard safety protocols at all times
- Coordinate with healthcare facilities to ensure timely pickups and deliveries
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
- Communicate delivery status updates to dispatch and clients
- Handle temperature-sensitive materials using specialized equipment
- Provide exceptional customer service to healthcare partners
Qualifications
- Valid California driver's license with clean driving record (minimum 3 years)
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Experience in medical courier, logistics, or healthcare delivery preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to lift and carry packages up to 50 pounds
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and handling protocols
- Proficient with mobile technology and GPS navigation
