Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, organs, and medications using temperature-controlled containers
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic tracking systems
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and biohazard safety protocols
- Coordinate with hospitals, labs, and pharmacies for timely pickups/deliveries
- Perform vehicle safety inspections and maintenance checks
- Respond to urgent delivery requests with urgency and professionalism
- Document any discrepancies or delivery exceptions immediately
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record (minimum 3 years)
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred
- Experience with medical specimen handling or healthcare logistics preferred
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Proficient with smartphone navigation apps and basic technology
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
