Responsibilities
- Safe Transport: Safely and securely transport a variety of medical specimens, including blood, tissue, and lab samples, adhering to strict temperature and handling controls.
- Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA compliance, OSHA safety regulations, and company protocols throughout every delivery.
- Vehicle Care: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and proper maintenance of the assigned courier vehicle.
- Communication: Provide excellent customer service to medical facility staff, confirming receipt of packages and updating the dispatch system in real-time.
- Documentation: Accurately complete all required delivery logs and digital paperwork to ensure traceability and accountability.
- Adaptability: Navigate Honolulu's traffic and geography efficiently to meet strict time-sensitive delivery windows.
Qualifications
- License: Valid Class C Driver’s License with a clean driving record (no major violations within the last 3 years).
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Experience: Prior experience in logistics, delivery, or courier services is preferred but not always required; on-the-job training provided.
- Technology: Reliable smartphone with a data plan and basic technical proficiency to use delivery apps.
- Background: Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
