Responsibilities
- Transport critical medical specimens, organs, and supplies between Portland-area healthcare facilities
- Maintain strict temperature control (refrigerated/frozen) for sensitive materials
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance protocols and chain-of-custody procedures
- Utilize GPS navigation for efficient routing and real-time tracking
- Complete detailed documentation and delivery logs for each shipment
- Provide exceptional customer service to medical staff and patients
- Perform vehicle safety inspections and maintenance checks
- Respond to urgent delivery requests with immediate availability
Qualifications
- Valid Oregon driver's license with clean driving record (3+ years)
- Medical courier or healthcare logistics experience preferred
- OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens certification required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely and repeatedly
- Strong time management with attention to detail
- Proficient in using mobile tracking applications
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights/weekends
- Pass background check and drug screening
