Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, pharmaceuticals, and confidential documents to healthcare facilities across Washington, DC.
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and company protocols regarding patient privacy and data security.
- Adhere to strict delivery timeframes to ensure critical laboratory results and medications reach their destinations on schedule.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections to ensure the safety and cleanliness of the transport vehicle.
- Log delivery information accurately into the company tracking system or handheld device.
- Communicate effectively with hospital staff, lab technicians, and clients to resolve any delivery discrepancies.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record (no DUIs or major violations).
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent; additional logistics or healthcare experience is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Professional appearance and demeanor when interacting with medical professionals and patients.
- Basic computer literacy and proficiency with mobile data entry devices.
- Physical stamina to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs and navigate various weather conditions.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
