Responsibilities
- Transport medical specimens, lab results, pharmaceuticals, and sensitive equipment between healthcare facilities
- Maintain strict temperature control requirements for time-sensitive materials
- Complete accurate delivery documentation and maintain chain-of-custody logs
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times
- Perform vehicle safety inspections and maintain clean, organized transport equipment
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Manage inventory of medical supplies and packaging materials
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year experience in medical/courier logistics preferred
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical transport protocols
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and time-management skills
- Proficient with GPS navigation and delivery tracking systems
- Ability to work independently and in all weather conditions
- High school diploma or equivalent required
